CAT STATS: Hiro & Maru

This is Hiro and Maru... my mom's two boisterous brothers! She adopted them about two months ago from a rescue in Chestertown, MD. They hadn't been separated since they were born and the adoption woman didn't want them to get placed separately.. sooo my mom took them both! Well, after i convinced her that two cats are better than one. Since she just moved into a new house, i thought that these two would be perfect to liven it up a bit! And boy do they!! I think my mom has probably had to re-pot about 20 plants since they've been here! They get into everything and anything you can think of. And when Maru can't find Hiro, he screams and yells, until we remind him that he just needs to come down the stairs. Hiro, the gray striped cat is the cuddler, he loves to snuggle, especially with Sophie, my mom's standard poodle. We think she thinks Hiro is her baby, because they are the same color. And Maru, the tuxedo, is the trouble maker! He's always climbing were he shouldn't be, sneaking outside, and climbing up to the top of the windows.

ANND Since thats the last of cats, look forward to seeing more of Ebbe and Pearl, and Sam and Sadie, and Elliot and Oren and Toni, and Hiro and Maru get into trouble around the house!!

This is Ebbe. Her name means "strong as a boar" in scandinavian. She is a mix breed maine coon, and she is one shy little girl! Well.... she may no look little but she's only six months old, and she is Polydactyl!!! That means she has a few extra toes on each foot, mainly why we named her Ebbe. We Found her on petfinder, from a Romanian family who's cats got pregnant. They couldn't really understand us when we called, but we wanted her brother:

But he was already taken and I was very upset, HE HAD A MUSTACHE!!!!! How cute?!?! But since we made a 4 hour drive to State College, Pa, in the pouring rain, we were not coming home empty handed... ANNDDD just look how beautiful she is!! And her huge hands are soooo cute! and great for catching flies! Her and Pearl are the best of friends, they love to play and nap together, and Ebbe is getting a lot more social! She was pretty skittish for the first two months, but now she hangs out when our friends come over! And sometimes jumps up on them! Or steals their seat!

This is Sadie bear. Stephen got her from a junk yard when he was getting his car fixed. And then she made a venture to Wilmington, DE when we moved to school for the second year. But then some meany head told an R.A. and she came back to Maryland. And she moved with us to the city, this girl is worldly! Now she spends her days eating a ton, and chasing Pearl around the house, at least when she's not napping! She loves to knead her big teddy bear until he is completely flat! She also loves being outside and rolling on the concrete and climbing in the trees. Sadie is her own person, she loves doing her own things on her own time. And that's usually climbing around the vent system of the house... we have no clue how she gets up there but she does, and it wakes Pearl up!!!

This is Sam. Steve got him at a flea market for twenty five dolloars! And he was way to small, he was bottle fed for a few weeks, and he came with gummy eyes! Poor Sam! But now he's healthy and just got over a yeast infection and back to his old self. Which is beating up on Pearl and Ebbe. He is a pretty quiet, petite cat, except if you get on his nerves. He'll scream this crazy thai meow and bite you like a snake, short and quick. Other than that he's usually sun bathing or licking you for hours on end. He just loves to lick! and do your hair!

This is Pearl. We have no clue where she came from or how old she actually is. What we do know is this... Steve's dumb stepbrother got two kittens from some guy and when he brought her home, his dad didn't want him to have her... so she came and stayed with us until ryan could find an apartment. Well like usual, ryan didn't find an apartment. So we kept her! and her sister went to ryan's girlfriend's friend. She was super attached to our siamese, Sam, and we didn't want to break them up.. and then Ebbe came along, and now we really don't want to break them up! Ryan said that she was born January 19th, 2009. Buuut this could be wrong because she came to us still suckling.. and we had gotten her in April. Either way we love her!!! The first picture is baby Pearl, the screamer! She wouldn;t stop screaming if you held her away from your body, it was so cute. Now she's big! Well, bigger. And she loves to ride on your shoulders and jump on your feet in the morning. AAANNNNDDD she loves to puff her lips out, when she gets mad, or when she wakes up from a nap she'll make a mad face and scrunch her lips up. Another one of Pearl's pastimes is licking inside people's mouths. She's been doing that ever since we knew her...

Toni is the oldest of all the cats... we got her from the old farm across the street from my development on christmas eve, when I was in fifth grade. She was the crrraziest kitten, she ate crayons, and hunted baby blue birds out on the deck. But in her later years she's become a bit reclusive. She was really upset when I went away to college and started licking all the hair off her stomach. And when I came back she wouldn't talk to me. And now she reallly won't talk to me, because I brought king Elliot and boisterous Oren home about 7 months ago. She's kind of like the cranky 70 year old woman that complains about everything. She usually sleeps about 20 hours out of the day, and the other four hours she's trying to hoard off the boys because they like to gang up on her. Poor Toe...

This is Oren, a cute little orange and white tabby.. Ms. Debbie found this cute little guy washed up near a creek in Belair, Md when he was waaay too young. He was malnurished and suuper dirty, and he had briers stuck in his fur! But we nursed him back to health and now he's bigger than Elliot! He loves sitting in the window and watching birds and bugs. This guy looveess his ham, every night my dad makes his lunch for the next day, Oren knows and comes rushing in, and dad yells "hamtime!" Oren also loves LICKING!! He licks anything! When he was a kitten he used to run all crazy and stop and lick something, and then start running around all crazy again. Oren also hardly ever meows, he chirps instead, kind of like when you pucker your lips and make them vibrate.. only cuter!!

This is Elliot, he hates to be held, picked up, anything. He loves being brushed, and eating whatever I'm eating. He's a huuuge ham to the camera. I got him from a rescue when he was like 6 months old, him, his mom, and his litter mates were found in a dumspter in a town not to from from my house and when I went to get him he used my body as a rock wall and kept climbing up it and high fiving me, he was sooo cute! Now he spends his days with Oren, and wrestling with him, laying around watching the birds. He also has a nickname, Clicky, because when he walks on hard floors he clicks his nails, and only when he wants you to know he entered the room!
